So give me a for dummies version of how this is supposed to work and why. Then I pulled the volume on my DI channel said screw it and pushed my smaller rig to within an inch of its life trying to fill the room the old fashioned way. Still sounded bad but was not the full on Chernobyl meltdown of bass sludge it was. I tried mixing between the tops and subs but as soon as I walked off I was dialed back to subs only.įinally I went over and rolled ALL of the bass off at the mixer and pushed the mids. We don't have a sound person and everyone is in the process of learning what works.įor some reason they have only been putting my bass DI into the subs. Lately I've been bringing smaller rigs just for stage volume and the sound out front is a total mess with the bass. I know this has to have been asked before but. I did a bit of searching but didn't find an exact answer.
